The Insurance Business Law 2000, Telecommunication Law 2009 and Law on Credit Institutions 2010 contain specific provisions on M&A transactions in Insurance, Telecom and financial sector respectively. These provision do not override merger control regulations under Competition Law 2018, but rather exist in tandem with the latter. Merger in insurance and finance and banking sectors are subject to a separate set of filing thresholds under the Competition Law 2018.
